Bloodbitter

I'm amazed.               I'm truly amazed. I'm happy. Everything in my head is....quiet. There's not a single sound in there. No demons screaming, no ghosts of my past whispering to me....nothing.  It's like surviving the longest winter of my life, and now everything is quiet and the sun is melting all that was frozen solid. I have an actual grip on my life now. Yeah....I get stressed and panic sometimes, I still have my tendencies from depression sometimes but.... I feel like the heavy cold chains are gone.... My wings are now unfurled I'm free....

I feel their eyes upon my skin; feels like they look so deep within I'm breaking down, feels like I'm losing ground They think cause I am full of faith, I must be perfect everyday But they don't understand, I'm just a man, held in your hands
